Recycling at Church of the Savior

Do you get frustrated by all the plastic items that cannot be recycled in our municipal recycling facilities?  The COS Creation Justice Team is working to identify organizations that work to recycle or reuse materials that are hard to recycle.  TerraCycle is an organization that collaborates with businesses, governments entities, non-profits, and individuals to keep waste out of landfills or from incineration.  They offer many different programs to recycle materials that are not accepted by municipalities. In one of these programs, TerraCycle is partnering with Pet Supplies Plus and Wag N’ Wash to recycle pet food and treat bags.  The COS Creation Justice Team has selected this as our spring recycling event.  We have placed a collection box next to the kitchen.  You can bring in your pet food and treat bags.  All brands are acceptable. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to recycle these materials.
