“Called to Follow”

“I have to ask myself,

does being a Christian mean following the rules?

Or does it mean following Christ?

Wherever that may take me,

even if it means breaking the rules sometimes?

For a rule-follower like me,

that honestly sounds somewhat terrifying,

but I when I look at the life and teachings of Jesus Christ,

I don’t really see a way around it.”
